New Castle, DE- The Philadelphia University
women's soccer team (3-3-3, 3-1 CACC) lost 3-2 at Wilmington
University (7-0, 5-0 CACC) in a rainy Central Atlantic Collegiate
Conference (CACC) match on Tuesday afternoon.
The PhilaU squad got both goals from freshman forward/midfielder
Janine
Cascio, who headed the first off a corner kick and
notched her second score from 35 yards out.
The Rams were tied 2-2 at the half.
In the second half, both teams seemed headed into overtime but a
goal by WilmU with just three minutes left to play ended PhilaU's
chances as they fell 3-2.
The team plays next at the highly anticipated Homecoming 2010
match this Saturday (10/2) at Ravenhill Field, as they host Post
