Kutztown, PA- The Philadelphia University women's tennis team (1-1, 0-0 CACC) defeated Kutztown University, 5-4, Saturday at Kutztown.

The Lady Rams won four singles matches as #1 freshman Isabella Espinosa (Quito, Ecuador/ The American School of Quito) def. Kutztown's Sabrina Ridhima 7-5, 6-2, #2 senior Daniela Rodriguez (Quito, Ecuador/ Colegio Menor) def. Tess Wright 6-0, 6-0, #3 junior Brittany Villa (Logan Township, NJ/ Kingsway H.S.) def. Rachel Grula 6-4, 6-2 and #4 Liz Verbitts (Salisbury, MD/James M. Bennett) def. Chelsea White, 6-6, 6-2.

In doubles, the #1 team of Espinosa/Villa defeated Kutztown's Ridhima/Wright 8-5.
