Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University
men's tennis team (16-5, 9-2 CACC) knocked off non-conference
foe Adelphi University 8-1 on Thursday afternoon at PhilaU's
Abraham J. Salaman'58 Courts.
PhilaU got the edge in doubles pulling out an 8-4 win at #2
(Kyle Burke/Ryan Christopher) and then at #3 (Seppi Hutter and Tom
McAvoy) the Rams won 8-5.
The bottom draw of the PhilaU squad came up big to win it for
the Rams, as singles #3-6 decided the match. The highlight
was a #6 singles McAvoy 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 win over AU's Leo
Bruno.
The Rams return to action on Saturday (4/17) when they travel to
West Chester University for an 11:00 a.m. start.
