Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia men's
tennis team (15-5, 9-2 CACC) knocked off city rival the Chestnut
Hill College Griffins (11-10, 5-5 CACC) 9-0 on Tuesday evening at
the Arthur Ashe Tennis Center.
The Rams were led by the #1 doubles team of sophomores
Adrian Torroella-Cruz (Gainesville, FL/
Gainesville) and Manoli Sgouros (Forest Hills, NY/
Holy Cross) who batted the Griffins away 8-4.
Torroella-Cruz won his #1 singles contest 6-3, 6-2, while
Sgouros handily took #2 singles 6-2, 6-2.
The Rams return to the hard courts on Thursday (4/15) vs.
Adelphi University at the Abraham Salaman'58 Courts at 4:00
