New Castle, DE- The Philadelphia University
women's lacrosse team (4-3, 4-0 CACC) picked up a 15-8 win at
Wilmington University on Thursday afternoon.
The win improves the Lady Rams to a perfect 4-0 in the
conference.
The Lady Rams were led by senior Kathleen
Maurer's (Rochester, NY/ Our Lady of Mercy) eight
points, including the game-winner at 23:16 in the first half on an
assist from fellow senior Lauren Woodie (Monmouth
Beach, NJ/ Shore).
Two other PhilaU players racked up four points on the day
including sophomores Taylor Peltzer (Holland, PA/
Archbishop Wood) and Caribeth Shappell (Lancaster,
PA/ Cocalico).
PhilaU senior goalie Kat Sullivan (Mt. Laurel,
NJ/ Lenape) recorded 11 saves in goal for the Lady Rams.
The team returns to action for Senior Day (Saturday, 4/3) at 1
p.m. vs. Post University at Ravenhill Field.
