Philadelphia, PA- The defending Central
Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Philadelphia
University Lady Rams (2-3, 2-0 CACC) left no doubt as to their
prowess in a 17-6 victory over the visiting Dominican College
Chargers (0-4, 0-3 CACC) on Tuesday afternoon at Ravenhill Field.
PhilaU sophomore attacker Taylor Peltzer
(Holland, PA/ Archbishop Wood) led all scorers with six points (3
G, 3 A).
The Lady Rams jumped out 1-0 as senior attacker Lauren
Woodie (Monmouth Beach, NJ/ Shore) scored just a minute
into the first half and cruised from there, building up to a 10-3
halftime edge. Woodie finished with three points (2 G,
1 A) on the day.
Junior midfielder Jessica Sica (Long Valley,
NJ/ W. Morris Central) opened the second stanza with a goal at
26:10, as she finished with four goals on the day.
PhilaU sophomore midfielder Kalin Hodel (West
Chester, OH/ Lakota West) also had a stellar outing, racking up
five points (4 G, 1 A) for the maroon and gray.
DC was led by three points each from Silje Karlsen and Aubree
Williams.
PhilaU goalie Kat Sullivan (Mt. Laurel, NJ/
Lenape) and DC keeper Lindsey Grundfast both recorded eight saves
for their respective squads.
The Lady Rams host city-rival Holy Family University this
Saturday (3/27) at noon at Ravenhill Field in their next
contest.
