Lacrosse Outdueled 17-9 at Molloy, Davis Nets Three

Rockville Centre, NY- The Philadelphia University women's lacrosse team (5-6, 5-2 CACC) suffered a 17-9 road loss at Molloy College (5-6) on Friday afternoon.  Senior attack Sarah Davis (Dublin, OH/ Dublin Scioto) led the way for PhilaU, notching a team-high three goals and one assist.

MC took an early 1-0 lead just two minutes into the first half, but PhilaU sophomore midfielder Michelle O'Hanlon (Springfield, PA/ Springfield ) put one in the net at 27:27 to tie it at 1-1.  Unfortunately for the Lady Rams, MC fired off three straight shots to take a 4-1 lead and would never relinquish their advantage as Rebecca LaFlare racked up eight points to lead all scorers on the day.

The Lady Rams trailed 9-4 at the half.

PhilaU also got two goals each from freshmen Taylor Peltzer (Holland, PA/ Archbishop Wood) and Caribeth Shappell (Lancaster, PA/ Cocalico).  Goalie Katherine Sullivan (Mt. Laurel, NJ/ Lenape) had 10 saves in goal in 60 minutes for the maroon and gray.

The Lady Rams return to action on 4/14 at Chestnut Hill College at 7:00 p.m., to be played at Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School.
