Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University
Lady Rams (5-4, 5-1 CACC) scored 21 unanswered goals until Holy
Family University (0-8, 0-4 CACC) put one up on the board en route
to a 24-1 conference women's lacrosse win at Ravenhill Field.
PhilaU freshman attacker Taylor Peltzer (Holland,
PA/ Archbishop Wood) led all scorers with seven points- five goals
and two assists.
PhilaU outshot the Tigers 39-4 and also held the ground ball
advantage 18-6.
The Lady Rams tallied 21 goals before the Tigers scored their
lone goal of the day at 8:52 remaining in the second half- after
PhilaU led 15-0 at the half.
PhilaU got the game-winner from junior attack Lauren
Woodie (Monmouth, NJ/ Shore Regional) just two minutes
into regulation when the Lady Rams took a 2-0 lead.
Junior goalie Katherine Sullivan (Mt. Laurel,
NJ/ Lenape) made one save for PhilaU, while HFU's Samantha Smith
had 10 saves for the Tigers.
PhilaU returns to action on Saturday (4/4) vs. Dominican at 1:00
p.m. at Ravenhill Field.
