Wilmington, DE- The Philadelphia University
Lady Rams (1-3, 1-0 CACC) started out conference play with a
dominating 21-7 win over Wilmington University (2-2, 0-1 CACC) on
Tuesday afternoon. Sophomore Michelle
O'Hanlon (Springfield, PA/ Springfield) and senior
Sarah Davis (Dublin, OH/ Dublin Scioto) each led
PhilaU with four goals.
The win is also head coach George Chis-Luca's first collegiate
victory.
The Lady Rams charged out to a 12-4 lead at the half, helped by
two scores from junior Lauren Woodie (Monmouth
Beach, NJ/ Shore Regional).
In the second half, the PhilaU squad managed nine goals,
including Davis's two in the half to pull ahead and take the 21-7
win.
In goal for PhilaU, junior goalie Katherine
Sullivan (Mt. Laurel, NJ/ Lenape) made 25 saves in 60
minutes of action.
The Lady Rams return to action on Thursday, March
19th at Dominican at 3:00 p.m. in another CACC
match-up.
