Orangeburg, NY- The Philadelphia University
women's soccer team (10-4-3, 8-2 CACC) fell short in a 2-1 loss at
Dominican College (6-5-4, 5-2-3 CACC) on Saturday. PhilaU
freshman forward Trisha Sileo (Islip, NY/ Islip)
had the lone goal in the 50th minute for the Lady Rams.
Sileo would give PhilaU a lead with her goal at 50:45, assisted
by fellow rookie forward Melissa Copeland (Islip
Terrace, NY/ East Islip).
The Chargers won on two goals by Margaret Porter, the first
81:46 and the game-winner just seven minutes later.
PhilaU freshman goalie Kelli Kowalewski
(Shamong, NJ/ Seneca) had six saves, while DC's Valentiina Sturchio
made one save.
The women return to action on Monday (10/26) in a rescheduled
match vs. Concordia at 3:00 p.m. at Ravenhill Field.
