Bronxville, NY- The #4 seeded Philadelphia
University Lady Rams (9-7, 5-3 CACC) saw their season come to an
end in the first round of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference
(CACC) playoffs in a 5-0 loss to #1 seeded Concordia College (12-1,
8-0 CACC) on Tuesday afternoon. The team match marked the
last with long-time PhilaU head coach Marty
Gilbert, who will be retiring after the CACC Individual
Tournament.
The Lady Rams gave their best effort at #3 doubles, as sophomore
Christina Brzozowski (Wallingford, CT/ Sacred
Heart Academy) and junior Sarah Harris (West
Chester, PA/ West Chester East) fell 8-2 to CC's Adeline Brennan
and Camilla Xavier.
The CACC Individual Tournament begins on Friday (10/16) at
Chestnut Hill College and will feature two PhilaU players- junior
Daniela Rodriguez (Quito, Ecuador/ Colegio Menor)
and sophomore Brittany Villa (Logan, NJ/Kingsway).
