Shippensburg, PA- The
Philadelphia University women's soccer team (0-1) took a 1-0 loss
to open the 2008 season on the road against the Shippensburg
University Lady Raiders (1-0) on Friday evening.
The Lady Raiders were able to net the game-winner just seven
minutes into the first half by finishing a loose ball into the
lower left corner of the net. Senior goalie Sara Hall
(Newark, DE/ Wilmington Charter) had six saves in the loss.
Phila U. was outshot 14-3 and took just two shots on goal.
The Lady Rams will travel to Millersville University for their
next contest on Sunday, August 31st at noon.
