The Philadelphia University women's lacrosse team won their
third straight outing and ran their season record to 4-1 today with
a convincing 23-7
victory at Kutztown University in Kutztown, Pa.
In the win over the Golden Bears, senior midfielder
Brooke Woodland (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove;
pictured above) led the attack for the Lady Rams with a career-high
six goals while adding an assist to register another career mark
with seven points on the day.
Senior midfielder Marissa Wisniewski (Cherry
Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West; pictured below) also sparkled in the
win, recording her career high with five goals and equaling her
career mark with the five-point performance.
The Lady Rams dominated the contest, outshooting the Golden
Bears 44-18 en route to the 16-goal margin of victory.
For a stretch of about 40 minutes--17:31 of the
opening half to 7:43 of the final period--the Lady Rams
notched 16 consecutive tallies to break open the game.
Up next for Head Coach Jenn Devinney's squad is
their East Coast Conference (ECC) opener at home this Saturday,
April 5 vs. Molloy College. Face-off time for the league
matchup with the Lions is 12:00 noon at Ravenhill Field.
