Lady Rams Win Third Straight in Nine-Goal Defeat of Wildcats

The Philadelphia University women's lacrosse team earned their third straight triumph to improve to 7-2 overall on the season in today's 17-8 win over visiting Wilmington University.

Senior midfielders Maggie Bornhorst (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial; pictured below) and Brooke Woodland (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove; shown right) each scored three goals as the Lady Rams built a commanding 10-3 halftime advantage by netting five of the first six tallies of the contest.

Sophomore goalies Kelly Staerk (Edgewater Park, N.J./Holy Cross) and Katherine Sullivan (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape) combined to make five saves each as the Philadelphia University defense held its opponent under 10 goals for the sixth time in nine games this season.

The Lady Rams return to action at Chestnut Hill College on Tuesday, April 15 at 4:00 p.m.
