Junior midfielder Calli Nagle of Holy Family
University scored both goals for the host Tigers, helping them to a
2-1 win over Philadelphia University in
women's soccer action on Thursday afternoon, October 25th.
The setback leaves the Lady Rams with a 12-5-0 overall record
including a 10-1-0 mark in the Central Atlantic Collegiate
Conference (CACC) while the Tigers move to 11-7-0 overall and
finish the regular season undefeated in league play at 11-0-0.
After a scoreless first half, Nagle found the back of the net early
in the second frame for a 1-0 Holy Family advantage. Senior
midfielder/forward Melissa McMullen (shown) was
able to tie the contest for the Lady Rams with her fifth goal of
the season, an unassisted marker at the 62:26 mark. However,
Nagle registered her second goal of the contest with just over ten
minutes remaining, leading the Tigers to the key win which secured
the top seed in the upcoming CACC Tournament. In goal, junior
Sara Hall finished with seven saves for the Lady
Rams, suffering just her fifth loss on the year.
