Women's Basketball Rolls Over Wilmington
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University women's basketball (5-2, 1-1) looked to get out of their two-game skid as they took on Wilmington University (Del.) (0-7, 0-2) in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Wednesday night. The Rams outpaced the Wildcats in every quarter to secure the 74-43 conference win.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Wilmington got ahead 6-2 early on, but Jefferson went to hit their stride with a 16-0 run to take the lead that they'd hold onto for the rest of the way. Second quarter went similarly as the Rams outscored the Wildcats 13-7 and went into the break up 29-15
- Jefferson went to outscore Wilmington 45-28 for the third and fourth quarter, shooting over 50% in second half and being 3-8 from beyond the arc
- Every Ram player got on the board with at least a point. Gabby Recinto led the team with 21 points while Emily Spratt scored 18. Spratt also led the squad in rebounds and steals with nine and seven respectively. Tori Nigro added nine assists to her 4 rebounds and three points. Ana Pellecchia scored nine points off the bench
