Fourth Quarter Dooms Women's Basketball
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University women's basketball (4-2) had a 45-39 lead over West Chester University (3-2) heading into the fourth quarter, but a 19-9 run by the Golden Rams dropped the Rams 58-54 at home in Saturday afternoon non-conference action.
WHAT HAPPENED
- The game was close between both teams with Jefferson getting the edge in the first three quarters as they outscored West Chester 45-39
- After the game was tied at 26-26 in the third quarter, the Rams went on a 19-13 run to earn the lead over the Golden Rams
- West Chester went to go on a 19-9 run in the fourth quarter, taking the lead at the 3:45 minutes mark, with Jefferson eventually falling 58-54 to the Golden Rams
- Emily Spratt and Gabby Recinto led all scorers with 19 and 18 points respectively. Tori Nigro had six assists while Recinto earned a double double as she had 14 rebounds as well
