JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Emma Kuciapinski posted three goals and the Rams recorded their second straight shutout in a 4-0 victory over host Nyack on Thursday afternoon. Jefferson is 3-0 on the season.
GAMEPLAY
The Rams outshot the Warriors, 9-0, in the first half and earned four corner kicks. The first tally came off one of those corners in the 15
th minute.
Alessandra DiStefano sent the ball in and
Laural Erick got a foot on it and put it in the net. Just three minutes later, Kuciapinski got her first of the game, dribbling around two defenders and blasting a shot into the upper right corner from 20 yards out. Jefferson maintained the two-goal lead into halftime.
Kuciapinski struck again in the 50
th minute, beating the leaping goalkeeper again to the upper right corner from 20 yards away. It then took only 72 seconds for Kuciapinski to pick up her third goal of the day. Erick sent a perfect forward pass into the box, setting up Kuciapinski with a one-on-one with the goalie. Kuciapinski found the lower right side of the cage to make it 4-0. Overall, the Rams controlled the shot count, 20-3, and had a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.
