WILMINGTON, Del. - The Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team (9-5-1, 8-3-0 CACC) closed the regular season with a 2-0 loss at Goldey-Beacom on Wednesday afternoon.

The Rams are the third seed in next week's CACC Tournament and will host a quarterfinal game against sixth-seeded Post on Tuesday, November 9 at 1 p.m. It is the Rams' 16
th appearance in the conference playoffs.

GAMEPLAY
Jefferson had the better of play over the opening 15 minutes, racking up four shots and five corner kicks. However, the Lightning withstood the attack and countered with a 7-0 shot advantage for the remainder of the period. GBC began the scoring in the 27
th minute, capitalizing on a giveaway by the Rams. The Lightning made it 2-0 in the 37
th minute after finishing a cross from the left side.

Goldey-Beacom continued to stifle the Jefferson offense in the second half, conceding just four shot attempts. All four were on target but stopped by the goalkeeper.
