Women's Soccer Routs Felician, Secures Home Quarterfinal Match

PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team (9-4-1, 8-2-0 CACC) assured itself of another home contest this season with a 5-0 blanking of Felician in the penultimate regular season game on Saturday.

GAMEPLAY
The Rams dominated play, outshooting the Golden Falcons by a 29-6 margin. Kelsey Butler put Jefferson on the board in the 13th minute after Jacque Thornton's free kick was deflected by Gabrielle Marra to Butler in the box. Marra helped set up the Rams' second goal as well in the 34th minute. She played the ball to Kiery Spatz, who found the lower right corner of the cage.

In the second period, Emma Kuciapinski booted a loose ball just under the crossbar to make it 3-0 in the 62nd minute. She then picked up her second of the day in the 72nd minute. Spatz tapped the ball back to Chloe Quinn who sent a service into the box. Kuciapinski got her head on it at the left post and put it into the goal. Jefferson's final tally came in the 86th minute. Helina Macchia finished a service by Trinity Blaho.
