Women's soccer blanks Bloomfield, 4-0

BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – Four different Philadelphia University women's soccer players found the back of the net in a 4-0 victory over host Bloomfield in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match Saturday morning on Foley Field.

Forward Andi Neski (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y./Ossining) entered the match as 33rd-minute substitution and had an immediate impact by scoring the opening goal in the 41st minute. It was her second of the year.

Midfielder Cristina Nasti (Verona, N.J./Montclair Kimberley Academy) doubled Philadelphia (4-1-1, 4-0-0 CACC) advantage to 2-0 when she found the back of the net during the 58th minute. Forward Shannon Reardigan (Glassboro, N.J./Glassboro) recorded an assist on Nasti's first goal of 2014. Midfielder Carla Chmielewski (Glassboro, N.J./Paul VI) tacked on her team-leading third goal of the season in the 68th minute.

Forward Angela Ferro (Shelton, Conn./Shelton) finished off the scoring with an unassisted tally in the 86th minute.

Keeper Courtney Shaw (Langhorne, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) made one save to record her fourth shutout of the season.

Diana Vincentini recorded 15 saves for the Bears (0-7-0, 0-5-0).

The Rams owned a 25-2 shot advantage and a 12-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Philadelphia opens October with a non-conference match at Molloy on Wednesday, Oct. 1. Match time is slated for 4 p.m.
