Box Score NYACK, N.Y. – The Philadelphia University women's soccer team suffered its first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) setback of the season, after a 2-1 loss at Nyack Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Rams are now 5-3-0 overall and 5-1-0 in the CACC. Nyack improves to 4-4-0 overall and 4-2-0 against the conference.
The Warriors' Julia Losert, who scored both Nyack goals, netted the game-winner on an 84th-minute penalty kick.
Losert scored the first goal of the contest just 41 seconds in on a shot taken from the edge of the penalty area.
Philadelphia's Kristen Ferguson scored the equalizing goal in the 73rd minute after getting a pass from defender Meagan Yates. The goal is Ferguson's team-leading fifth of 2012 and extended her goal-scoring streak to five matches.
In net, the Lady Rams' Kelli Kowalewski stopped six shots in a losing effort. Nyack's Madeline Barbarino turned aside four shots.
The Warriors owned the shot (11-8) and corner kick (3-2) advantages.
Philadelphia will try to get back on-track with a non-conference match at Bridgeport on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m.
