Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University
women's soccer team (1-0, 0-0 CACC) wasted no time getting their
first win of the season in a 2-1 victory over the Millersville
University Marauders (0-1, 0-1 PSAC) on Thursday evening.
Freshman forward Trisha Sileo (Islip, NY/
Islip) knocked in the Lady Ram's first score at the 26:32 mark in
the first half, assisted by sophomore midfielder Gabrielle
Haden (Freehold, NJ/ Colts Neck).
The Marauders responded with the tying goal at 72:19 by Lindsay
Malpass, but PhilaU was not done yet.
Sophomore Dana Rokoszak (Hillsborough, NJ/
Hillsborough) scored the game-winner at 88:19 on a pass from Sileo
to give the Lady Rams the first win of the year.
Freshman goalie Kelli Kowalewski (Shamong, NJ/
Seneca) had five saves in her first collegiate start, while MU's
Taylor Suskie had 11 stops for the Marauders.
The Lady Rams return to action on Saturday, August
29th at Adelphi University at 1:00 p.m.
