Early Goal Proves Too Much in Women's Soccer 1-0 Loss

Caldwell, NJ- The Philadelphia University women's soccer team (8-3-3, 6-1 CACC) dropped their first game in conference play this season in a 1-0 loss at Caldwell College (3-8-1, 3-3-1 CACC) on Saturday. 

The CC game-winner was scored in the 33rd minute of the first half, by Morgan Frankenfield who scored her own rebounded shot from 15 yards out.

The Lady Rams held the edge on shots 16-10 as well as corner kicks (6-3).

PhilaU freshman goalie Kelli Kowalewski (Shamong, NJ/ Seneca) had three saves in 90 minutes, while CC's Lauren Hoenig made six save for the Cougars.

The Lady Rams return to action on Tuesday (10/13) vs. Georgian Court University at 4:00 p.m. at Ravenhill Field.
