Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University
women's soccer team (4-6-3, 3-0-2 CACC) got a 1-0 CACC victory over
the visiting Chestnut Hill College Griffins (4-7, 1-4 CACC) on
Tuesday afternoon. The win was the Lady Ram's second straight
conference victory.
Junior Jill Sokolski (Philadelphia,
PA/Nazareth) got the Lady Rams on the board at 13:26 with the
eventual game-winning goal that resulted from a hard shot taken by
freshman Gabrielle Haden (Freehold, NJ/ Colts
Neck) which rebounded off the Griffin keeper. The score was
Sokolski's second game-winner of the season.
The Lady Rams controlled the tempo throughout the match,
outshooting the Griffins 36-7.
Senior goalie Sara Hall (Wilmington, DE/
Wilmington Charter) had five saves for the Lady Rams.
