Philadelphia, PA- The CACC #1 ranked
Philadelphia University women's soccer team (8-6-3, 7-0-2 CACC) got
their second biggest win margin of the season with a 5-0 shutout of
the Bloomfield College Deacons (2-13-1, 0-8 CACC) on Thursday
afternoon. The Lady Rams are currently riding a six game win
streak-all shutouts.
Sophomore Natalie Vespe (Acto, NJ/ St. Joseph)
gave the Lady Rams the lead for good just 12 minutes into the first
half, scoring off a free kick to take a 1-0 lead.
PhilaU outshot the Deacons 36-4 for the game.
Freshman Catherine Galton (Princeton, NJ/ West
Windsor North) chipped in her first goal of the season with six
minutes before half time to pull away 2-0.
The Lady Rams continued to roll in the second half as freshman
Dana Rokoszak (Hillsborough, NJ/ Hillsborough)
knocked in her third score of the year and junior Alyssa
Kline (Southampton, NJ/ Holy Cross) added another to up
the ante 4-0.
Senior Brianna Reinford (Gilbertsville, PA/
Pottsgrove) put in her third goal of the year to make the final
Phila U 5, BC 0.
Senior goalie Sara Hall (Newark, DE/ Wilmington
Charter) had three saves in the first half, while freshman keeper
Rebecca Della Peruta (Haddon Heights, NJ/ Haddon
Heights) made one stop for the Lady Rams.
