Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University
women's soccer team (7-6-3, 6-0-2 CACC) continued to burn up their
competition with a 2-0 win over Caldwell College (9-9, 6-3 CACC) on
Saturday afternoon. The win is the fifth straight for the
Lady Rams, the current CACC front-runners.
The game-winner was scored by senior Brianna
Reinford (Gilbertsville, PA/ Pottsgrove) to take a 1-0
lead just 12 minutes into the first period, she was assisted by
fellow senior Christy Bauckman (Silver Spring, MD/
Good Counsel).
Sophomore Sara Redka (Williamsport, PA/
Williamsport Area) knocked in an insurance goal from nearly 35
yards out with just two minutes left in the match.
Senior goalie Sara Hall (Wilmington, DE/
Wilmington Charter) had five saves.
The Lady Rams will play a rescheduled CACC game vs. Bloomfield
next, on Thursday, October 23rd at 3:30 p.m.
