Volleyball Places Dontell, Wensel on All-CACC Second Team; Harrington, Leddy on Third Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sophomore middle blocker Logan Dontell and senior outside hitter Courtney Wensel of the Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) volleyball team earned selections to the 2018 All-CACC Second Team while senior setter Alexandra Harrington and junior libero Alexis Leddy grabbed spots on the All-CACC Third Team. The news was announced Tuesday morning by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference office.

LOGAN DONTELL – ALL-CACC SECOND TEAM
After a strong freshman campaign a year ago, Dontell earned a spot on the 2018 All-CACC Second Team as a sophomore. The sophomore finished the year with 250 kills and a team-high .274 hitting percentage. Dontell ended the 32-match regular season with 81 total blocks, ranked fifth in the conference. Of those blocks, 14 were solo while 67 were assists. The sophomore also notched 24 service aces on the campaign. She finished the season with 321.5 points. Dontell was named to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll back on Sept. 25.

COURTNEY WENSEL – ALL-CACC SECOND TEAM
For the third-straight year, Wensel was honored on the conference's postseason teams. After being tabbed as a First Team selection as a sophomore and junior, the senior finished off her career with an All-CACC Second Team nod. Wensel finished the year with a team-best 310 kills, 9th in the conference. Her career total of 1567 ranks second in school history (1601). She also added a matching 310 digs as she became the school's all-time leader in career digs. Wensel also notched 19 service aces and 29 blocks. She finished the year with a team-best 348.5 points. Wensel also earned CACC Player of the Week honors (Sept. 18 and Nov. 5) and three nods to the weekly honor roll in 2018.

ALEXANDRA HARRINGTON – ALL-CACC THIRD TEAM
Harrington was also tabbed to an all-conference team for the third-straight year. After being named to the All-CACC Second Team in 2016 and 2017, the St. Leonard, Maryland native earned a spot on the 2018 All-CACC Third Team. Also for the third-straight year, Harrington racked up over 1000 assists as she accumulated 1088 across 32 matches. Her total placed her second in the conference behind Holy Family's Morgan Silks (1237, CACC Setter of the Year). For her career, she now has 3879, second at the school. She managed 10.46 assists per set as a senior, her second-highest figure (10.72 as a sophomore). Harrington was honored by the conference's weekly awards a team-best seven times this fall including four setter of the week nods and three trips to the honor roll.

ALEXIS LEDDY – ALL-CACC THIRD TEAM
For the first time in her career, Leddy grabbed a spot on the 2018 All-CACC Third Team as a junior. Leddy led the Rams with 426 digs, seventh in the conference. She averaged 4.48 digs per set. In addition, her 31 service aces ranked tied for tops on Jefferson. Leddy was twice named the CACC Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 8 and Nov. 5) and grabbed two spots on the CACC Weekly Honor Roll (Sept. 10 and Sept. 18).
