Marra, Neveil Named CACC Women’s Soccer Rookie, Defensive Player of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Freshman Gabrielle Marra and senior Katie Neveil of the Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) women's soccer team earned CACC weekly awards on Monday afternoon. Marra was named the CACC Rookie of the Week while Neveil grabbed CACC Defensive Player of the Week honors. The news was announced by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference office.

GABRIELLE MARRA – CACC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Playing in her 10th game of the season on Saturday, Marra scored her first two collegiate goals in the 7-0 win over Post. The Glassboro, New Jersey native entered the game in the 71st minute and went on to score back-to-back goals in the 84th and 85th minutes to put Jefferson up 6-0.

KATIE NEVEIL – CACC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Neveil was named the conference's defensive player of the week for the second time of the fall. On Saturday, Neveil tallied an assist on Senior Day in the 7-0 win over Post while she anchored the defensive unit that allowed the Eagles to take just four shots in the shutout victory.
