PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University rowing team will compete in seven events this spring, the team announced on Tuesday.
The Rams begin the slate with the Murphy Cup Regatta on the Cooper River on March 21. It is the first of three regattas on the Cooper for Jefferson. The team races Lafayette, Lehigh and Mercyhurst on Lake Nockamixon on March 28. The Rams have their first of three straight events on the Schuylkill River on April 18 with the Kerr Cup Regatta. The regular season culminates with the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on May 8-9. It is the third year that Jefferson is the title sponsor for the historic event.
Should the Rams qualify for the NCAA Division II Championships for the second year in a row, the national regatta is set for May 29-31 at the Oak Ridge Rowing Association in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
