Matt Bamford

Matt Bamford joined the Jefferson women’s basketball program as an assistant coach prior to the 2015-16 season. He was elevated to Associate Head Coach for the 2021-22 campaign.

With Bamford on the coaching staff, Jefferson has amassed a 198-58 record for a 77% winning percentage from 2016-2024. The Rams have reached the postseason eight times, resulting in 6 CACC championship appearances and 4 CACC championship titles during his time as an assistant. In 2024, the team set a school record with a 32-2 record and advanced to the NCAA East Region Championship for the second consecutive year.

Prior to his time at Jefferson, he held positions at the University of Michigan under Kim Barnes Arico and Stony Brook University. He also spent time with the Philadelphia Belles AAU program, winning a Nike National Championship in 2013. He graduated from Drexel University in 2012 with a degree in Business Administration and worked as a student manager under Bruiser Flint.

Currently resides in Chalfont, PA with his Wife Brittany.
