Lingenfelter Selected to Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Women's At-Large Team

PHILADELPHIA – Sophomore Kinley Lingenfelter of the Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) women's golf team was named to the 2018-19 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Women's At-Large Team.

The Academic All-Area Team is voted on by the sports information personnel in the greater Philadelphia area, known collectively as Philly-SIDA. The team recognizes student-athletes who athletically excel while contributing to their surrounding community and exceeding a 3.2 GPA.

The Women's At-Large Team, in particular, is for student-athletes who compete in sports that are not recognized with their own individual team. Lingenfelter was the only golf student-athlete chosen to the Women's At-Large Team.

Lingenfelter leads the Rams with a 78.2 stroke average with a low round of 73. She has played 13 rounds this season and was Jefferson's low scorer in all 13. Lingenfelter took first place at the Ursinus Revolutionary Classic (March 24), came in second at the Ursinus Invitational (April 9), tied for second place at the Arcadia Invitational (October 29) and was third at the East Stroudsburg Invitational (April 14). The sophomore has nine rounds in the 70s this year. A three-time Dean's List student, Lingenfelter has a 4.00 GPA in fashion design.
