Men's Soccer's Season Ends with CACC Quarterfinal Loss at Holy Family

PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team (7-11-1) had its 2019 season come to an end with a 3-1 loss at Holy Family (11-7-1) in the CACC quarterfinals on Monday. The Rams were the sixth seed while the Tigers were seeded third.

GAMEPLAY
The Tigers got on the board quickly, taking a 1-0 lead in the sixth minute. Senior Charlie Livesey evened things up for the Rams in the 26th minute, taking a pass from senior Myles-Jordan Senior-Campbell and blasting it into the upper left corner. With just over six minutes remaining before halftime, Holy Family took a 2-1 advantage with a header off of a corner kick.

In the second, the Tigers increased their cushion to two in the 56th minute. A service from the right side was headed from the left post back to the middle of the goal where another header propelled the ball into the net. Jefferson outshot Holy Family, 6-2 in the period and had three corner kicks but was unable to record another tally.

NOTES
- It was the eighth straight CACC Tournament appearance for the Rams.

LOOKING FORWARD
The Rams are expected to bring back five starters to the 2020 squad.
