Men's Soccer Shutouts Georgian Court
LAKEWOOD, N.J. – Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer (2-3, 1-1) secured their first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win on the season as they went on the road and defeated Georgian Court University (0-4-2. 0-2) 2-0 in Tuesday afternoon competition.
WHAT HAPPENED
- The Lions were on the offense for most of the game, outshooting the Rams 22-12 with 14 of those shots coming in the second half. Jefferson used their defense to hold strong with JR Sexton making eight saves in the contest
- Both of the Rams goals came at the last seconds of each half. A corner kick that was headed by Glenn Moyer allowed Sean Stackhouse to score a goal with two seconds before the break to let Jefferson go up 1-0 at halftime
- The second goal had Parker Smith get the ball and go down field, passing it to a wide open Kai Mangahas that let him shoot and score with two seconds before the end of the game, finalizing the match at 2-0 in favor of the Rams
