Men's Basketball Takes Down St. Thomas Aquinas for Third Straight Win
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University men's basketball (3-0) shot over 50 percent through the entire game and went onto earn a 86-70 win over St. Thomas Aquinas College (1-2) in Wednesday evening non-conference action.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Jefferson controlled the first half, outscoring the Spartans 38-24. They went 5-of-12 from beyond the arc as Alex Bates IV, Jeremiah Dorsey, Shane Cercone, and Sean Fullerton all hit their shots from beyond the arc for the Rams. Bates IV and Dorsey each had nine points in the first half, with both players hitting three shots on the floor and making a free throw as well. Brendan Myaklcio had six points in that span
- The second half saw both squads have at least 10 fouls with a combined 35 free throw attempts from Jefferson and St. Thomas Aquinas. Cercone and Bates IV had 11 points apiece while Matt McCool and Fullerton answered with nine and six respectively
