Women's Soccer Wins Sixth Straight Match; Earns Victory over Caldwell
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team (6-2-1, 4-0) would go into Ravenhill Field and walk away with a 1-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win over Caldwell University in Saturday afternoon competition.
WHAT HAPPENED
Kiery Spatz took a shot 25 feet away from the net, where the Cougar's goalie made her save.
Devin Sullivan took the rebound and passed it to
Alexa Callahan, who was right in front of the goal with no defender near her. A quick shot would put the Rams up 1-0 at the 19
th minute mark.
The Cougars would try and make it even on the scoreboard, but Jefferson's defense wouldn't allow Caldwell a single attempt in the first half. Caldwell would have four shots in the second, but a team block and three
Liv Riddel saves would push the Rams to their sixth straight victory and fourth consecutive conference shutout on the year.
