Women's Soccer Edged By Pace

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team (1-3) was defeated by host Pace (2-1-2) in a non-conference contest on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Nikki Dedes recorded her team-leading third goal of the campaign in the 13th minute to put the Rams in front. She picked up a loose ball in the middle and sent a soaring shot over the goalkeeper into the upper left corner from 25 yards out. Jefferson had a flurry of shots with a corner kick mixed in following the goal but it remained a one-goal game.

The Setters potted the equalizer in the 27th minute. Following the tally, the Rams had a corner kick and a shot that was stopped by the goalie so the score remained level. Pace then went in front, 2-1, in the 40th minute. In the second half, Jefferson registered five shots with four of them being on target. However, the Setters' keeper turned everything away and the Setters held on for the victory.
