KEARNY, N.J. - Ava Albergo scored the lone goal of the contest in the 75
th minute to give the Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team (2-2-1, 2-1-0 CACC) a 1-0 win at Nyack on Saturday afternoon.

GAMEPLAY
The Rams controlled the first half, outshooting the Warriors 3-0. Jefferson had a flurry of corner kicks during the period, recording three within a four-minute span, but could not find the back of the net. The Rams continued to pressure early in the second, racking up five corner opportunities in seven minutes. Jefferson rang a shot off the crossbar and another two were saved.

The persistence by the Rams paid off in the 75
th minute. Shortly after a corner kick,
Devin Sullivan had possession and sent a cross into the left side of the box. All by herself, Albergo settled and beat the goalkeeper high for the 1-0 lead. Nyack had a pair of chances in the final three minutes, both of which were stopped by
Jackie Martino.
