Women's soccer falls to Caldwell in overtime

CALDWELL, N.J. – The Philadelphia University women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 overtime loss to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opponent Saturday afternoon on Caldwell Field.

Kelly Folk scored the match-winning goal with 6:30 gone by in the overtime session as she took a corner kick and curled the ball into the Philadelphia (3-5-0, 2-3-0 CACC) net. The goal was her second goal of the year.

Philadelphia keeper Courtney Shaw (Langhorne, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) did all she could, making six saves—all coming during the second half.

The Cougars (3-5-1, 3-0-1 CACC) owned a 15-6 shot advantage. The Rams had one shot on goal from Alex Reyes (Vineland, N.J./Vineland), Morgan Graus (Rochester, N.Y./Hilton), and Morgan Foster (Stony Brook, N.Y./Ward Melville).

Caldwell's Mary Kanzler made three saves.

Philadelphia returns home to face Molloy in a non-conference contest on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 4 p.m.
