Adrienne Reese was recruited by Coach Shirley from her hometown of Sinking Spring, Pa. and Wilson High School in 1997. A four year starter at Wilson, Reese scored 1,626 points, led the county in three point field goals all four years and was recently named to her high school Hall of Fame. A shooting guard, she played alongside current Philadelphia University assistant coach Melissa Kelly) Storm. Reese, a three year starter for the Rams, finished her career at PhilaU scoring 1,096 points, which ranks her 23rd all-time.

The 5’9 guard still holds the record for career three-pointers made (228), three-pointers made in a season (97 in 2001-02) and triples in a single game (10). She also ranks second all time in three-point shots attempted in a career (577). Reese played with teammate Karen Wusinich in 1999-2000, when Wusinich made a school record (at the time) 72 three-pointers in a season.

Reese set the PhilaU record for points in a single game with 43 on January 3rd 2002 vs. Mercy College, breaking the record held by former national player of the year, Tammy Greene who scored 42 points in 1994. In that game she went 10-15 from three-point range and 15-of-22 from field goal position. For her efforts that season, she was named NCAA DII 1st Team All-Northeast Region and New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC) All-Conference 1st Team. In addition she was named 2nd team All-ECAC.

Reese led the team in scoring her senior year (2002) averaging 16.0 points per game, while helping the Rams win 84 games during her career along with the team’s first ECAC Championship in 2002 with a 74-70 victory over Bryant College.
