Cass Byrnes joined Jefferson Athletics as an assistant athletic trainer in August 2017. She was promoted to Associate Athletic Trainer in May 2019.
Brynes comes to Jefferson from Chestnut Hill College where she was an assistant athletic trainer from 2015 to 2017. At Chestnut Hill, Brynes worked as the trainer for spring football, women’s basketball and softball.
Prior to that, Brynes was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at her alma mater West Chester University from 2013 to 2015 where worked closely with women’s rugby, women’s volleyball and women’s baseball.
Her certifications and memberships include NATABOC, Pennsylvania Athletic Trainer Licensure, National Athletic Trainers Association Member, Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers Association Member, Eastern Athletic Trainers Association and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, American Red Cross.
She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in athletic training from West Chester in 2013 before earning her master’s degree in exercise and sport physiology in 2015.
